This evolution reflects more accurately who we are today and how we intend to build for the future. While venture capital remains an important reference point in the investment world, it no longer fully captures Andel’s approach, ambitions, or the range of opportunities we aim to pursue.
A name aligned with reality
Andel invests its own capital. Our investment decisions are guided by a long-term perspective, independent thinking, and a disciplined assessment of risk and opportunity.
The name Andel Capital better represents this reality. It gives us a broader, more accurate identity—one that is not restricted to a single asset class, investment stage, or conventional venture-capital model.
An evolving market context
Andorra offers an attractive environment for entrepreneurship, innovation, and international business. However, it remains a relatively small market in which to build a standalone venture-capital activity at meaningful scale.
At the same time, competition from established European investment hubs is intense. Larger ecosystems benefit from deeper pools of institutional capital, more mature startup networks, and a higher concentration of specialised investors.
In this context, positioning Andel solely as a venture-capital firm would not reflect the market realities in which we operate.
Greater flexibility for the future
The transition to Andel Capital gives us the flexibility to pursue opportunities more broadly over time. It strengthens our ability to invest our capital where we see compelling long-term potential, while maintaining the discipline and entrepreneurial mindset that have always been central to Andel.
